My wife went out to dinner with a friend the other night, and when she visited the ladies’ room, she saw a sign on the wall which read:
Are you feeling unsafe for any reason? We’re here to help. Just go to the bar and order an Angel Shot. Neat: a staff member will escort you to your car. With Ice: we’ll call an Uber or Lyft. With Lime: we’ll call the police. We’ll handle things discreetly and without a lot of fuss. We want you to know you’re in good hands.
Martha didn’t need any of those services, but we’re both glad to know the restaurant offers them to protect its female patrons (she didn’t check to see if there’s a similar sign in the men’s room).
