Here’s something I found fascinating. On the HBO series, “Barry,” Henry Winkler plays an acting coach named Gene Cousineau. In real life, Winkler — who was always a great guest on my radio show and is deservedly known as one of the nicest people in show business — has done a few seminars for aspiring actors.
Recently, Winkler was invited to use his fifty years of acting success to advise a group of performers at Vulture Fest LA. As you’ll see the actors were pretty good to begin with, but clearly got better when Winkler inspired them, often with just a few words.
By the way, around the time of this event, Winkler and co-star Bill Heder were just finishing filming the third season of “Barry,” which he says will debut in March.
