Rule #3: ask inside-the-beltway questions that don’t affect how people vote.
Rule #4: ask impossible-to-answer questions, like what a Democratic president would do about Mitch McConnell’s power as Senate Majority Leader.
Rule #5: instead of letting candidates confront each other over the issues, cut them off and make sure they only pay attention to you.
Rule #6: spend as little time as possible on climate change, despite half the candidates saying it’s the most dangerous issue America currently faces.
