On my America Weekend show, Edward Luttwak (former consultant to the Pentagon and State Department, now at the Center for Strategic and International Studies) provided some answers that may surprise you when I asked:
- While Assad runs a brutal dictatorship, who are the rebels, and do we want them to win?
- Is there a national security threat for the United States?
- Does the US have to take action out of a moral responsibility?
