Tonight, after the Oscars telecast with Ellen DeGeneres, when all the trophies have been handed out, the winners and losers will head to a big party called The Governor’s Ball, where they’ll be served a lot of food prepared by Wolfgang Puck and his team. But before all of that happens, I got Wolfgang on the phone this morning to talk about the menu, the preparations, and how things have changed in the 20 years he’s catered this event. I also asked him for advice for wannabe restaurateurs and whether it’s true he was fired from his first kitchen job at age 14.
