After the Cold War ended, the US was left with a lot of nuclear missile silos we didn’t need. Some clever entrepreneurs bought some of them and turned them into homes. On my America Weekend show, I spoke with realtor Brian Dominic of Sotheby’s International Realty about one such home he’s selling in upstate New York. You don’t get the missile, which was removed long ago, but you do get the launch panel and other equipment from the original control room — plus some furniture that seems stuck in time.
