These phrases are hereby banned from comments on any of my posts, here or on Twitter and Facebook:
“Many people report…”
“People are saying…”
“I heard someone say…”
They are used as justification for nonsense and are inevitably followed by something stupid and/or untrue and/or intolerant, as some comments — which I have deleted — have proven.
Don’t tell me what some unknown and uncredited “others” say or think. Speak for yourself or not at all.
