Let’s spend a few minutes with Garfunkel and Oates (Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome) singing about dating a Republican. This song is several years old but still quite topical.
If you watched “The Big Bang Theory,” you may recognize them for small parts they played on the show. Micucci played Lucy, an extreme introvert who dated Raj, and Lindhome played Ramona Nowitzki, a postdoctoral researcher who had a crush on Sheldon.
The two actresses teamed up to write and perform satirical songs beginning in 2007 and eventually released three albums, a couple of specials, and a lot of videos. Some of them are more than a little bit raunchy (e.g. “The Loophole”), but here’s one they performed at the 2018 Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal which didn’t violate broadcast standards when it aired on The CW.
